Why do we call ourselves "The Way Sabbath Fellowship?"
So, why did we choose the name "The Way Sabbath Fellowship?"
For starters, we are comprised of a several families who are fellowshipping together each week, growing in our love for the Lord and our knowledge of His Word, so we call ourselves a "fellowship" of believers.
We meet on Saturday, the Biblical Sabbath, so we have the word "Sabbath" in our name because it is a defining characteristic for our fellowship.
And why, "The Way?" There are many reasons for our choosing "The Way" as our name. Below are a few of those reasons:

We meet on Saturday, the Biblical Sabbath, so we have the word "Sabbath" in our name because it is a defining characteristic for our fellowship.
And why, "The Way?" There are many reasons for our choosing "The Way" as our name. Below are a few of those reasons:
- In Biblical times, there were many different sects of Judaism, just as there are many denominations in the Christian faith. The sect of Yeshua's disciples were referred to by many different names, such as "The Disciples of Yeshua," the "Poor Ones," the "Assembly of Yeshua," the "Nazarenes," and also "The Way." (See Acts 9:2, 19:9, 19:23, 22:4, 24:14, and 24:22).
- The Bible often refers to a "way" or "path." A person walking according to God's commandments and instruction walks in the way, whereas the sinner stays from the way. ("For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish." Psalm 1:6)
- There are many verses that talk about God and His Way -
- And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. (Isaiah 30:21)
- "And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are fools, they shall not go astray. (Isaiah 35:8)
- "And it shall be said, 'Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstruction from my people’s way.'" (Isaiah 57:14)
- "Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway; clear it of stones; lift up a signal over the peoples." (Isaiah 62:10)
- "Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." (Matthew 7:13-14)
- "See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you today, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it." (Deuteronomy 30:15-16)
- Thus says the Lord: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Pay attention to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We will not pay attention.’ Therefore hear, O nations, and know, O congregation, what will happen to them. Hear, O earth; behold, I am bringing disaster upon this people, the fruit of their devices, because they have not paid attention to my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it.
- "Thomas said to him, 'Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?' Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" (John 14:5-6)
- "And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked." (1 John 2:3-6)
