About our Fellowship
The Way Sabbath Fellowship is a group of christian believers who love Yeshua (Jesus's name in Hebrew) our Messiah and desire to walk together in a lifestyle directed by the entire Bible. We study the Scriptures, using commentary from a Torah observant perspective in order to understand the context of the Bible and how to walk out our lives as Jesus walked.
We love and are devoted to the Creator of the Universe, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and our salvation is by the death and resurrection of Jesus alone. Together, we are learning and growing in our knowledge of how to live our lives in obedience to God and His commandments, through the study of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, within its original context of ancient Jewish Christianity. Our walk is one of discipleship, of following our Master Yeshua, trying to walk as He walked. We obey not to BE saved, but because we ARE saved! 1 John 2:3-6: And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. We desire to live as His disciples and therefore we strive to memorize His words, imitate His actions, learn His traditions and interpretations, and raise up more disciples who follow Him. As we strive to keep God's commandments, we want to always keep the focus that the greatest commandments are to first love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and then to love others. Without keeping love for God and others as our primary focus, we could easily miss the whole point of our relationship with God and why we obey Him. Matthew 22:36-40 - “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” John 13:35 - By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Our fellowship meets on Saturday, the Biblical Sabbath. We also celebrate the Biblical Festivals throughout the year as a way to better understand Yeshua, who is the substance of the festivals. They all point to Him and help us more fully understand His past and future redemption of His people. Luke 6:40: A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.
